Paper Rewinder Paper Slitting and Cutting Machine
This series of rewinder is shaftless-type, double supporting rollers paper slitting and cutting machine. The whole structure is frame-type.
Slitting part: slope arrangement
Frame-type underfeed rewinder have two sections: unwind section, slitting and reeling section.
As the slitting and reeling section are all in one frame, so it is called unitary underfeeding rewinder.
As the rider roll and slope slitter knife roll are independent, there has no roller mark on the surface of paper, so it is fit for reeling the paper with high surface requirement. Underfeed rewinder has the different slitting, reeling principle and structure from the onfeed rewinder, so it can meet the higher working speed requirement.
Working speed: less than 1200m/min
Web width: it can reach to 5000mm
Usually, the rewinder working speed is three times than that of the paper machine.
The unwind section can use the tension control with drive device or pneumatic control, which is decided by working speed. The under reel can be adjusted by hydraulic control or manual operation, which is decided by web width and diameter.
The slitting section is constituted by the slope top and bottom slitter device, multi-segments guide roll, leading roll, onfeed device, web bowed spreader roll and trim collection system.
The structure of bottom knife is decided by the number of slitting disc (the slitter group) and the accuracy of slitting. When there has fewer discs need to slit it can use the multi independent bottom knife with drive device; when there has many more discs, it can use the integrate bottom knife roll with drive device.
The number of bowed spreader roll is decided by web width. When the width is small, it can put one more movable bowed roll after slitting; when the width is large, it can put one more movable bowed roll before slitting.
The reeling section includes: front and rear support rolls, rider roll, hydraulic lifter, under transfer device and automatic discharge device. According to the different paper grade and working speed, the surface of support roll can be processed by making groove, sand blowing or molybdenum blowing.
The rider roll can use integrate-type or multi-stage type, which is decided by the web width. Hydraulic lifter always uses the hydraulic cylinder through chains drive, the pressure between rider roll and support roll can be controlled by PLC automatically.
Drive section: DC or AC. According to the working speed, it can use single-point drive, double-point drive or triple point drive.
The unitary underfeed rewinder is used widely, which covers a small area, good safety performance and right price. It is especially fit for the paper machine that working speed is less than 400m/min.

The unwind roll have the automatic DC motor drive device, the diameter of parent roll can reach to Φ2500mm. The hydraulic control the unwind roll movements.
The slope upper paper leader roll diameter is Φ500mm, with onfeed device;
Two movable bowed rolls diameter is Φ240mm.
The slitting top knife diameter is Φ190mm; the slitting bottom knife diameter is Φ250mm, with the independent outer-rotor motor drive.
The lowering of roll, the cutter lifting and slitting cutter are controlled by pneumatics. This rewinder has six sets of slitting devices, the top and bottom knife can move on the linear guide rail.
The two support roll diameter is Φ700mm, the front one is processed by molybdenum blowing, the rear one is grooved.
The rider roll is three- stage, the diameter is Φ345mm.
The lifter is driven by chain and oil cylinder drive. According to the diameter variance of finished reel, the PLC can calculate and control the pressure between the rider roll and the support roll pressure nip.
Three drive sections: triple point drive. Two supports roll and unwind roll are all have the DC adjustable speed motor drive device.
Control system: EURO AD590 series DC control system.
